International-Trend-Vision.jpgNow in its eighth year, the Wella Professionals International Trend Vision Award is firmly established on the hairdressing calendar. And this year saw the biggest and best final yet.

Contestants from 53 countries descended on the Halle Freyssinet in Paris for a day of inspiration, creativity and recognition as the trends for next year were unveiled and winners in this year's Trend Vision Award winners were announced.

More than 2,000 hairdressers from across the world were welcomed by host for the day, hair extraordinaire Patrick Cameron. The day kicked off with four fabulous presentations from key industry names, who interpreted the 2011 trends.

  • TONI&GUY presented the romantic and colourful Passionista, which featured a combination of breathtaking reds from strawberry to traffic-light red.

  • The minimalist Lumina trend was a spectacle of blonde shades from white and silver to soft gold tones and translucent pinks and rose shades that were showcased by the award-winning HOB Salons artistic team.

  • An energetic presentation of the urban jungle that is the Glamazon trend by Russian salon Dimitry Vinokurov had the audience on their feet.

  • Finally the Sassoon creative team wowed with their graphic cuts and strong shapes for Polaris

The UK was proudly represented by Dan Spiller from Bruno Marc in Fleet, Hampshire, who had created a beautiful, textured redhead, in the Young Talent category and Lesley Smith from K2S in Glenrothes, who showcased her short, dark bob.

After an opportunity to shop in the famous Gallerie Lafayette, it was time for the International Trend Vision Award finale.

The evening started with the exciting Parade of Nations before the entertainment by gymnasts and roller bladers. After the audience enjoyed their dinner, they were in for a treat: street dance troupe Diversity wowed with their routine.

Then, to really get the crowd in the mood, they were entertained by Soul Symphony before the winners were announced.

Denis-Ospinov-Color-Gold.jpgJosh Wood and Eugene Soulieman accounced the winners - Denis Osipov's Studio in Russia clinched the Color title while The Last Tangle in Australia was named winner in the Young Talent category.

Robert Jongstra, Global President P&G Salon Professional, said: "The talent displayed at the 2010 International Trend Vision Award in Paris demonstrates what our close partnership with the global hairdressing community can create.  We are proud to award the contestants for their trend expertise and innovation shown at this year's event."

Hit sensation The Noisettes got the crowd on their feet, dancing and singing until the early hours.
