Ibiza cyclists raise £125,000 for hairraising
Almost one hundred cyclists, including John Frieda, Lee Stafford, Michael Van Clarke and Bruce Masefield, have completed an epic bike ride across Ibiza to raise vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.
The Round the Island Ibiza Cycle Challenge saw the gallant riders take on Ibiza's stunning coastline and rolling hills on a two day escapade that raised a fantastic £126,587 for the HairRaising apeal.
The funds, which go toward two new neurosurgery operating theatres at Great Ormond Street Hospital, will allow the specialist neurosciences team to treat up to 20 per cent more children.
HAIRraising founder John Frieda said, "Completing the distance was a tough challenge - but we did it and all our cyclists should be proud of what they accomplished.
"Great Ormond Street Hospital does some truly amazing things for thousands of sick children each year. The money raised from this challenge is a step in the right direction to keep this hospital world-class. Well done to all!"
