Updos are always a popular choice for red carpet events, showcasing stunning jewellery and show-stopping dresses to perfection. And with buns still a catwalk favourite, it was no surprise to see variations on the look at the 2013 Golden Globes.
Warren Holmes, International Creative Director at Nicky Clarke Salons gives his verdict:
Olivia Munn
"Apart from the 1940s look, the simple bun was extremely popular on the red carpet last night too. I would have preferred a softer hair up to make this look more relevant and youthful."
Emily Blunt
"The bun creates a good balance between Emily's detailed dress and draws the eye to her statement earrings. That said, I would have preferred a few tendrils of waves around her face to soften the look for red carpet."

Sienna Miller
"Another one who opted for the bun, Sienna had more detailing in her bun but overall the focus was on her dress."
"Taylor Swift was out to make a statement last night and she did just that. She had a determination and confidence about her and her roll and colour choices create a sophisticate, more grown-up feel."
