The Hair & Beauty Charity (H&BC) and Hair & Beauty Suppliers Association (HBSA) is delighted to announce the success of its annual Charity Golf Day, which took place at Hellidon Lakes Golf Resort, raising an impressive £6,864.75.
The event featured a shotgun start, bringing together 13 teams, including esteemed industry names such as Alan Howard, Kao Salon Division, Salon Distribution Concepts, The Gallery, Wella Professionals, L’Oréal Professionnel Paris, Schwarzkopf Professional, Procare Barkers, Revlon Professional, and the HBSA. Additionally, two teams comprised individual players representing Vish, Leaf Scissors, Salon Vision, Professional Beauty Group, Salonology, Get Timely, and CDC Accounting. The competitive bunch had a great day despite the weather which saw monumental rain showers throughout the day.
Once dried off, golfers and guests enjoyed dinner where four prestigious awards were presented:
- Best Individual, sponsored by Sienna X – awarded to Chris Barker of Barkers
- Best Team, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional in memory of Peter Belcher – Kao Salon Division
- Longest Drive, sponsored by Kao Salon Division – presented to Paul Brooks or Alan Howard
- Nearest the Pin, sponsored by Wella Professionals – awarded to Steve Jarrett of The Gallery
The fun then carried on with an auction featuring a huge collection of wines, two tickets to a home game at Chelsea, and a round of golf. With a raffle and other fundraising opportunities, a fantastic amount was raised.
Natalie Booker, Hair & Beauty Charity Manager said: “We are thrilled with the turnour and the spirit displayed by everyone despite the rainy weather. The generosity and support from our sponsors, teams, and individual players are what makes events like these possible, enabling us to continue our vital work within the hair and beauty communities.”
The day’s success was supported by number sponsors. Kao Salon Division generously sponsored the dinner, while the awards were sponsored by Sienna X, Schwarzkopf Professional, and Wella Professionals. Hole sponsors included Phillip Rogers (H&BC Chairman), Vish, Rainbow Room International, AJC93, Essence PR, The Gallery, Salonology, Gerrards International, Olivia Garden, and Procare.
Be sure to mark your calendars for next year’s Charity Golf Day set to take place on Tuesday 10 June at a new championship venue in a move that promises to elevate the competition and the stakes for our fundraising efforts.
