The incident took place after Gara fell asleep with her pet guinea pig, Dixie.
"So sometimes when I'm drunk I like to get my naked guinea pig out and sleep with her on the floor lol I know crazy," she shared.
"So on thanksgiving day I wake up to pee and catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. THIS CHICK DONE ATE MY BANGS OFF," she added.
Rather than eating the hair, the guinea pig decided that Gara's fringe needed a trim, but perhaps more so than the owner would have wanted. "She didn't even eat the hair she just nibbled it off," Gara said.

As a hairstylist, she shared her concerns on how long it would take the fringe to grow back. Telling The Daily Mail, she said: "'I'm a hairdresser and I have this tuft at the front now. I had to move my parting across a little bit so thankfully I can hide it, but it's not the cutest look I've ever had."
She added: "Guinea pigs chew on a lot of random stuff but thankfully they're usually in their cage. She's never eaten my hair before though. I'd say it'll take six months to a year to grow back, it'll probably get worse before it gets better."
