More than 70% of women feel more confident on good hair days, according to a recent survey by Nioxin.
The research revealed that women feel more confident than usual when they are having a good hair day, with 76% claiming that it makes them feel more attractive, which in turn helps them perform better in the office and boosts their confidence at social events.
Nioxin’s survey helps to decipher the styles that give us the biggest boost, with healthy looking hair sitting at the top of our hair agenda. Over 70% of women said that that full, thick hair is a confidence-booster.
Furthermore, 50% of people aged 25-34 said when they have a good hair day, it has a positive impact on their work performance.
When it comes to the world outside work, 84% of women agreed that when their hair is looking and feeling good, it helps to make them feel more confident in social situations.
Here are Nioxin's tips for boosting confidence with brilliant hair, no matter what the situation.
1. Hair that sits limp can make you look tired, even when you’re fighting fit, so focus on packing some volume in to appear on top of your working game. Try Nioxin's Dermabrasion treatment - like a facial for the scalp - to set you off on your journey to hair confidence. Follow with Nioxin's System Kits, a take-home solution comprising shampoo, conditioner and a treatment to help give thicker, fuller looking hair for added confidence
2. Polished means professional, so seek to banish any frizz. If flyaway strands are your bugbear, mist hairspray onto a soft brush and use it to gently tease any stubborn hair back into place.
3. Why not try a sleek updo for added confidence? This season's ballerina bun is suitably professional. To create a smooth canvas for your bun use Nioxin Deep Hair Repair Masque to help condition locks.
4. Treat your hair to some respect. Dragging your ‘do through rainy streets and over-styling will give strands festive fatigue. Marilyn Sherlock, Chairman of the Institute of Trichologists recommends that you should avoid rubbing hair when it’s wet, but instead pat dry. Use soft padded hair ties, not just elastic and use a lower heat setting on styling tools.
