Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams was one of our favourite stars on the BAFTAs red carpet. Here we speak to her stylist Jack Thirlway to find out how he created her loose waves.
The Brief
The stylist wanted Maisie's hair to be an effortless, younger interpretation of the Hollywood wave, keeping it as natural as possible.

Get the Look
1. Start by prepping towel-dried hair with a heat protectant spray. Rough-dry the hair by lifting the roots with a vent brush, making a deep parting before blow-drying the hairline.
2. Using a 38mm tong, curl diagonal sections of hair from the parting, leaving an inch out at the ends of each section. As you curl each section, pin to secure and leave to cool as you continue with the rest of the hair. Once all the sections are pinned up, lightly dust the hair with hairspray, then use a diffuser and allow to set for a few minutes.
3. Remove the pins, brush through the hair thoroughly and massage the roots to give a slightly more tousled look around the edges. Finish with a light spritz of hairspray.
