Hj's afro stylist of the year back for 2015

HJ's Afro Stylist of the Year competition is back for 2015, following a successful launch at last year's Salon International. Launched last year in recognition of the wealth of often-unrecognised talent within the afro market, the competition is open to all UK stylists trained to NVQ level 2 or above or who have a minimum of five years’ experience. The live hairdressing competition tasks talented afro stylists with creating an on-trend hairstyle - just snap and send a picture of your work. You don't need a professional photographer or model, it just needs to be great hair! Lucky finalists will then be invited to recreate their look live at Salon International, where a panel of afro experts will select and crown their winner. Feeling inspired? Afro Stylist of the Year: What You Need to Know

- Entrants have to be qualified to NVQ Level 2 or above or have a minimum of five years’ experience. - To enter, you need to upload a photo of a trend-led afro look. It doesn't need to be a professional photographer or model, as long as we can clearly see the hair. - If you're a finalist, you'll need to recreate the look in 45 minutes live at Salon International on Saturday 10 October 2015. - The deadline is at 5pm on 4 September 2015. - Read the full list of Ts and Cs here!
