Get the look: laura whitmore's plaited bun Get the Look Laura Whitmore's Plaited Bun Jungle princess Laura Whitmore was a vision of boho beauty at the National Television Awards with a textured updo featuring a distressed fishtail braid and a low-slung bun. Here, Lisa Shepherd, Great Lengths' brand ambassador shares her seven simple steps to re-create Laura’s staple hairstyle with pre-bonded hair extensions - don't miss the video step-by-step to bring the look to life at the end! 1. Use hairspray to add texture and prepare the hair before styling. Brush through. 2. Create a centre parting and take one section of hair to the left hand side. Use this section to braid a loose French plait. 3. Secure hair half way down with a pin and tease out to create a messy look. Spray with I.C.O.N. Finishing Spray. 4. Backcomb the crown area to create body, being sure to avoid any hair extension bonds. Tease and then smooth over. 5. Take the hair around, remove the clip from the plait and blend it with the rest of the hair holding loosely. 6. Twist the hair around until it coils back on itself to create a bun effect, push length end underneath and secure with pins. 7. Use curling tongs to create soft, gentle waves around the face. Tease out and finish with light hairspray. [Images: Rex Features]
