It's the style everyone's been talking about this week, but just how do you get Kate Bosworth's braided mohawk?
We spoke to Nicola Smyth, director of Nicola Smyth Award Winning Hair in Leamington Spa, to find out how to recreate the look:
"Kate Bosworth is one fashion-forward lady, never failing to capture gorgeous hair trends with the ultimate finesse. Braids were all over the Autumn/Winter 2013 catwalks and Kate shows us just how chic they can be.
"This Braided look works best on long hair damp hair. If you need extra length and fullness you can add a weft into the braid.
"Begin by sectioning the hair into three. Take your first section in line with the arch of each eyebrow, the clip the hair either side out of the way. Starting at the front of the head, braid the middle section, taking the hair underneath the plait so it will sit on top of the hair. Keep working down to the nape and continue until you reach the end of the hair before fastening with a small band.
"Next, take one of the side sections, combing the hair tight to the head using KMS California HAIRSTAY styling gel. Then fasten the hair at the nape of the neck with a small band and ensure placement of grips/bands used are concealed.
"Braid the remaining loose hair upwards next to the middle plait and secure with grips. Repeat on both sides using different sized sections to achieve Kate’s look. Ensure any ends are neatly fastened away.
"Tame any loose flyaways with styling gel and finish with KMS California HAIRSTAY maximum hold hairspray for a polished look like this starlet."
