The Fellowship for British Hairdressing recently held another highly successful Members' Night at the L'Oreal Academy in London.

Hosted by Fellowship president Mark Creed and vice-president Edward Hemmings, the event saw young hairdressers and established members show off their ideas and interpretations of trends to industry experts.

Audience members were also treated to a guest appearance from Beverly C, who was interviewed on stage by Mark about her history, inspirations and experiences in the industry as a woman.

The evening closed with Mark and Edward complimenting the level of talent and creativity that had been seen that evening, with the audience left feeling inspired after witnessing some truly exceptional work.

Take a look at the salons' work below, with pictures by India Sparacia for the Fellowship of British Hairdressing:

'Dishevelled' was the watchword for the team at Rick Roberts, with styles including braids and Afro styles all oozing punk rock glam.

Sutherland and Barnett
Presented by Craig Barnett, the Sutherland and Barnett show took inspiration from comic book images with an 80s twist. Cuts combined asymmetry and strong sharp lines.

Anne Veck
An avant garde obsessive, Anne's show combined colour and creativity using food gelatine and coloured wefts to create fantastical designs.

Club 21
Fellowship members of 18 years, the Kent-based salon drew their inspiration from Katy Perry's ET music video for their latest creations which combined braids and updos with plenty of colour.

Ocean Hairdressing
This Cardiff-based salon took inspiration from Grace Kelly with a twist courtesy of the Valentino catwalks. Simple, geometric styles and sharp lines dominated the presentation for a commercial collection.

Saks_picnik.jpg
Saks
Sci-fi meets the 1920s was how Saks desrcribed their collection, which boasted shapely sleek styles using cotton wool and sponges to create unique shapes.

Kink_picnik.jpg
Kink
The Evolution artistic team presented a collection inspired by Vidal Sassoon and the swining sixties. The styles were described as 'hard yet soft' with a timeless yet modern feel.

Sanrizz_picnik.jpg
Sanrizz
Grace Jones was the inspiration here with styles described as 'box like structures that defy gravity.' Sanrizz went with very dynamic, androgynous cuts that boasted strong lines, blunt styles with a disconnected element.
