More than 100 hairdressers from across the UK gathered at the Mayfair hotel in London for the 2012 Great Lengths Extensionist Awards.

Hosted by celebrity hairdresser, Michael Douglas, the evening kicked off with a champagne reception and three-course meal before a fashion show styled by the Great Lengths artistic team.

Called Fashion Nature, the team - which includes Ross Taylor from Falltricks and Inanch Imar from Inanch London - presented avant-garde styles that were inspired by Mother Nature.

With the show over, it was time for the all-important matter of handing out awards to the most talented extensionists in the country.

And the winners were;

Avant Garde Look of the Year - Vicky Demetriou
Classic Look of the Year - Linzi King, Myla & Davis, London
Tomorrow's Look of the Year - Nicola Marcar, Salon Ten, Shropshire
Bridal Look of the Year - Linzi King, Myla & Davis, London
Rising Star Award - Charlotte Boyes, Posh, Leeds
Gold Trophy Extensionist of the Year - Mark Fisher, Strawberry Hair, London
Salon of the Year - Tufties, Rossendale, Lancashire
Marketing Award - Tufties, Rossendale, Lancashire
Freelance Artist Award - Louise Hewetson

The evening ended with a raffle drawn by Miss England 2012 winner Charlotte Holmes, with all the money raised going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
