Davines hair on stage inspires london davinesDavines Hair on Stage wowed London with shows by some of the most exciting in the industry - including the latest collection by Angelo Seminara. London-based Allilon Education kickstarted the evening  with its Reverie collection, taking inspiration from artists and the palettes they use and the way they use their tools. The team created strong lines, bold texture and artistic tones of pinks, greens and blues. " The key to getting sharp shapes is to focus on the natural fall," explained Johnny Othona. "The perception of hairdressing isn't where we want it to be, so it's our job to show people how skilled and professional we are." The team, from Blue Tit wowed the 300-strong international audience with its Senses collection - dramatic shapes, eyecatching colour and malleable textures represented different senses. Vision was brought to life with 3D photography and two rope braids twisted into one to create a multi-dimensional ponytail. Petal-like avant grade hair represented the sense of smell, while taste was all about popcorn-inspired colour placement. The finale of the night belonged to Davines artistic director Angelo Seminara, who launched the latest collection. The Golden collection was about keeping it real, with three tones of gold - rose gold, copper gold and warm gold. Cutting hair with clippers for natural graduation, Angelo explained: "When you cut with clippers it is like carving wood, hair doesn't grow evenly so you have to make sure you balance it while you are working." Angelo, who is world renowned for his creative work, advised stylists to concentrate on more commercial styling. "Fashion editors and clients like hair that is real and wearable - hairdressers can be too fantasy and that isn't going to bring clients to your salon. As an industry we have become lazy and rely on irons to create a beautiful finish, it's important you learn the proper finishing skills."
