The Fellowship for British Hairdressing's 2012 Colour Project recently enjoyed their third training day at the Wella World Studios in London with a masterclass from Mahogany's head of colour, Tai Walker.

Each student presented mood boards to start the day, using a brief which they had receive din advance. Each mood board had to display three iconic haircuts, with examples of how they had been brought up to date for 2012. Students also had to talk about a photographer whose work they admire.

Following their presentations, Tai went on to talk about Mahogany's Duality collection and the inspiration behind it before demonstrating how he created the looks on models.

His combination of geometric cutting and bold blocks of colour inspired all the students, who then had the chance to experiment with the techniques themselves.

Colour Project team leader Tanya Hennessey said: "Education is key to the Colour Project and Tai applied a wealth of knowledge and creative essence to his day with the students."
