Sophie Hill has stepped back from her role as Chief Marketing Officer and Director after seven years at the company, with a new Head of Marketing & Communications announced on 3 September.
With over 40 years in the hairdressing industry, Sophie is a familiar face to many across the trade press and hairdressing sector. During her time at Headmasters, she has been instrumental in evolving the brand’s marketing and communications, creating impactful campaigns, and championing the salon group’s position as one of the UK’s leading names in hairdressing.
Reflecting on her decision, Sophie said:
"It has been an absolute joy to spend the past seven years at Headmasters working with such creative, passionate, and talented people. After 40 years in this industry that I love, it feels like the right moment to take a step back from permanent work and enjoy more time with my husband in his retirement.
"I feel incredibly fortunate for the friendships, collaborations, and experiences this career has given me. I know Headmasters will continue to go from strength to strength under the continued commitment and passion of my fellow directors, Jo Wickenden, Laura Geary & Simon Barlow and the amazing Marketing & PR department."
As part of the transition, Olga Hilliar has been appointed Head of Marketing & Communications, ensuring continuity and fresh leadership for the department.

Olga has a wealth of experience driving brand development, strategic planning and multi-channel campaign execution across the Film and TV, technology, luxury goods and beauty industries. Her track record in delivering growth through creative, insight-led marketing will play a key role in shaping and elevating Headmasters brand presence.
Olga says: “I am excited to be joining Headmasters, a brand with such strong reputation for creativity, expertise and style. My goal is to help the business grow while staying true to the values that matter most to our teams and clients.”
