Celebs fake it on the met gala 2014 red carpet!

If you're not quite ready to go for the plunge with a new 'do, a faux bob style - or even wig - is the ideal solution, as these stars found out on the red carpet at the Met Gala 2014. Rashida Jones opted for vintage-inspired curls, cleverly tucked under and pinned to create a shorter style. Often when celebs opt for this look, it's all about pristine set waves for a real vintage look, so it's refreshing to see Rashida keep things softer with a romantic loose texture. Reese Witherspoon, on the other hand, was all about that classic vintage set. Worn in a side part and styled into glossy, immaculate curls, this look is pure old-Hollywood glamour. I love how the shape of her undulating curls almost echo the unusual neckline of that hot-pink Stella McCartney gown too.   Opting for a wig rather than a rolled-under 'do, Solange Knowles continued her role as our favourite red-carpet maverick with a choppy textured wig. It's certainly divided opinion, but I sort of love it and the way it references the Oscar De La Renta Autumn/Winter 2014 show style.
