If you thought the Little Princess Trust was just about girls donating their hair, you'd be wrong - as Cardiff Devils player Carl Hudson proved with his recent makeover.
The burly ice hockey player and his teammates all headed to the Ken Picton Salon for a spruce-up ahead of the Challenge Cup Final.
And while the entire team looked great after their appointments, it was Carl who enjoyed the most dramatic makeover.
Prevoiusly known as 'the Beast' for his hirsute style, Carl donated all of his hair to the Little Princess Trust - a charity dedicated to creating real hair wigs for children suffering medical hair loss.
Ken says: "It was great having all the Cardiff Devils players in the salon, and it was a pleasure to groom all these guys so they were looking sharp for their cup final.
"Carl, also known as ‘the beast’ for his hairy look, loved his new style and was as calm as could be despite having his hair put into four ponytails! To be long enough for the charity, the ponytails need to be 7cm long so we cut them separately. If we’d pulled it all back into one the hair from the sides wouldn’t have quite been long enough."
