It's one of the final award ceremonies of the year for celebrities, but that doesn't mean that the American Music Awards is any less of a red-carpet affair.
This year's event saw Lady Gaga ride in to the show on a white horse and, perhaps more shockingly, both Rihanna and Miley Cyrus covered up and on their best behaviour.
