Dan Rix of The Master Barber’s Shop in Southport scored highly in his recent presentation for Level 4 VRQ Male Grooming, by creating his own spin on a photograph taken for an iconic album sleeve, by Ian Dury & The Blockheads.
The imagery for the album New Boots & Panties featured the late Ian Dury and his then young son, Baxter Dury, stood outside a quirky shop window in the late 70’s. Dan liked the image so much he replicated it for presentation on his level 4 VRQ.
Dan’s twist was to use himself and his son outside his own shop. The image was one of the key components of his presentation titled Rudeboy Rock which tracked the influence that music and popular culture has had on hair fashion.
