Zooey deschanel goes for faux short style

Zooey Deschanel tricked style reporters at the Vanity Fair Academy Awards party with a faux bob style, created by her hairdresser, Shelley Brien.

The actress opted for a sixties-inspired shape, with rolled under lengths and a sweeping side fringe.

I'd love too see Zooey take the plunge and recreate this look for real - her fringe and long dark lengths might be something of an indie-girl trademark now but I reckon that's as good a reason as any to switch them up for a new style.
