YC-mainpic.jpgThe L'Oréal Professionnel Young Colourist Award live final, in association with HJ, has taken place at the L'Oréal International Academy in London, with the seven regional finalists creating their look live in front of a panel of judges.

Renowned colourists Jo Hansford, Jo O'Neil, Anita Cox and Lisa Shepherd, along with past L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy winner Alan Edwards and HJ's deputy editor Ruth Hunsley, inspected the youngsters work, colour placements and techniques.

The winner will be announced at the L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy Grand Final on June 1. Here's what the judges throught of the presentations:

Anita Cox

"What we were looking for was someone who has colour in their blood and finds colour really inspiring and exciting."
