Team HJi spent all weekend at Salon International, but now the show's over, we've had time to catch up with X Factor. Here's my thoughts on the finalists' looks!
I thought One Direction looked great on Saturday. Still a bit Bieber-ish, but at least the curls are back - and they don't all have their hair parted on the same side! I'm very fond of Diva Fever, so it was sad to see them go, but their style is lacklustre at best. Considering the flamboyant nature of their act, it would have been good to seem them do something a bit more fun. Belle Amie look brilliant - the outfits are perfect, and I love the 60s feel to their styling. Again, it feels really age-appropriate, but still fun and trendy.

Aiden Grimshaw continues to have the best hair in the competition, and having caught lots of shows over the weekend at Salon International, I can confirm that this hair (slick on the sides, texture on top) is everywhere at the moment. Paije Richardson is still rocking that flat top - and it works for him. Excitingly, Matt Cardle went hatless - I think he looks a bit like Jake Gyllenhaal with his hair likes this.

I can't believe Cher Lloyd has virtually the same hair as last week! Considering her outfits and personality are so cool, I would have loved to see her with something totally different. Katie Waissel looked much better without the helmet, and I love how they're incorporating her grungy roots in to all her styles. Rebecca Ferguson looked stunning, again, and I'm glad they've sticking with the glam updos for her. Treyc Cohen let the girls down with this boring sleek look. The outfit was fabulous, why not hair to match?

First things first; hurray, Storm Lee's gone! He wisely chose to hide his naff pink hair with a hat, but let's face it, no-one takes on The Boss and wins. John Adeleye is smooth as ever, although I'm still worried he's not exciting enough.I think Mary Byrne performed really well, but the hair isn't working for me. I love the fringe, but the pouffy updo just looks naff. Finally, my favourite, Wagner Carrilho. The Brazilian bombshell looked admittedly awful with his receding hairline and long blonde locks, but who cares! The man used to own a lion!
