X factor style: week seven

It was all go on X Factor this week, what with Cheryl lashing out at Wagner (boo!) and Paije's shock eviction - but what about the hair? This week there's plenty to say...

Rebecca Ferguson might not have wowed the judges, but I loved her look this week. The vintage Ossie Clark suit was amazing, and the plaited bun topped off the look perfectly.

Another week, another asymmetric style for Cher Lloyd. This piled-over look doesn't really do it for me - I much prefer Cher in rapper mode, with a quiff and high ponytail.

Finally - well, what can I say about Katie Waissel that hasn't already been said? Frodo and Orphan Annie are just two of the more printable comments I've heard about this look. The colour is nice, and I dare say she need the length cut off after all that bleach - but something about this cut is just plain wrong.

one-direction-x-factor-week-7.jpgI've done a total 180 on One Direction - I love them now. Bless their little cotton socks - they've even started to do stuff with their hair! OK, we've still got two Bieber cuts, but there's curls, colour, and a bit of a crop going on with the other three. Thumbs up!

I was very surprised by Matt Cardle's vest performance - what happened there?! Bring back the hat, put a shirt on, and lose the gravelly voice!

Sad to see Paije go, but at least I don't have to write about the flat top anymore - can't believe he didn't do anything different at any point in the series!

Mary Byrne looked better than she has in weeks - she looked fresh-faced and really glamorous. Some of her updos have been a bit harsh, but I love this one.

And Wagner - well, what is there to say about Wagner, apart from keep voting for him - Cheryl deserves it!
