X factor style: week eight

It was all go on X Factor this weekend, as the final seven were whittled down to five semi-finalists. I always love it when the contestants get to sing two songs - especially when we get a costume change!
Cheryl and the girls are still reigning supreme, and there's no doubt that she still has the most stylish category.
I absolutely loved Cher's hair this week - big, curly, and as full of attitude as the pint-sized diva herself. I wasn't too keen on either of Cher's song choices, but the styling was fab, and she looked really comfortable (in every sense!) in the funky outfits and trainers.

It was farewell to Katie on Sunday, and although I'm still not a huge fan of her hair, it definitely looked better this week - it had a more 'lived-in' feel, and the cool texture worked nicely with her outfits.

Rebecca continues to be the most stylish X Factor contestant - ever. I loved both her dresses (the leopard one was Cavalli - on my wish list!), and her hair looked absolutely fabulous. The knotted braid was a good start, but when she reappeared with the ponytail I was blown away - she really looks like a 60s diva.

On to the overs, and it was a sad farwell to my man Wagner - still, he had a good innings and bowed out gracefully! It's just Mary left now representing the older contestants, and I thought she looked at her best this weekend too. She looks so different with her hair down, and the updo with sweeping fringe is very flattering too.

Thank goodness Matt Cardle has his shirt back on this week! He rocked a fin-style quiff, which worked well with his overall look and felt very 'him'. Matt always looks more comfortable behind his guitar, and with this low-key look he seemed really relaxed.
Finally, One Direction came face to face with their hair-spiration this week, as Justin Bieber appeared on Sunday's show! The boys definitely look like a proper group now, and in the words of Louis Walsh... the girls are gonna love them!
