As the X Factor gets under way, we're almost as excited about the finalists' dramatic makeovers as we are about hearing them sing.
We asked Sarah Bowron, co-owner of Aesthetics Hair & Beauty, Solihull what she makes of the girls' makeovers - including controversial finalists Cher and Katie.
Although none of the final three have been dramatically transformed - yet - there's still been a bit of polish, with each finalist now boasting a more groomed, popstar-worthy look.
The Girls
Cher Lloyd

"Cher looks far more grown up than her original appearance! The side braid gives texture and emphasises her quiff, giving what is essentially long, brunette hair a new edge, in line with her sassy performances. With her fragile start to the show, this strong image is exactly what Cher needs, and it screams that she's a serious artist that means business!"
Katie Waissel

"Katie has brought an original quirkiness to the competition and I'm pleased to see it hasn't been lost in her new, more polished look. She's kept her Madonna-esque roots but the blonde has been toned down and softened with a cooler semi, which really illuminates her skin tone. This, teamed with the cherry lips and vintage-inspired headband has resulted in a style that's bang on trend and more finished, which has left her looking every inch the diva she's proving to be!"
Rebecca Ferguson

"I have to say I'm disappointed with Rebecca's new image! She's such a stunning girl, and her chic style has been replaced by a cut that's too severe. It takes away the beautiful softness she had before, making her more mainstream rather than standout! I would have loved to see her emulating a modern day Audrey Hepburn, with fabulous hair-ups, timeless elegance and a mix of vulnerability and strength that matches her amazing voice."
