Each year the HBSA Council concludes the year with a Christmas lunch and as a longtime member, Jayne Lewis-Orr made it her final official engagement of her incredible tenure at Professional Beauty Group. On December 11th fellow member and Dr John Rainey MBE, Chairman of Denman International awarded Jane the Dr John Rainey MBE Medal. This solid silver medal cast with Dr John’s personal motto is gifted in recognition of contributions to the industry. Previous recipients include Andrew Collinge and Paul Stafford. Dr John said “I’m sure everyone was as surprised as I was to hear that Jayne Lewis-Orr was “retiring”, in very large, inverted commas! I have known Jayne for 30 years and have the greatest respect for her contribution to hairdressing.
Jayne is passionate about her work and, while we all know that this passion will continue, milestones like this need to be recognised in some appropriate way.
For a few years now I have been presenting my silver medal to significant figures in the hairdressing world. I now wish to add the name Jayne Lewis-Orr to that small number of worthy recipients. Thank you so much for everything you have done to improve our glamorous industry
