To celebrate its 10-year anniversary, staff from the Westrow West Park salon took to the sky for a charity skydive.
Gathering in the seaside town of Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire, seven members of staff lept from a plane in a tandem jump at 10,000 ft to raise money for charity.
Sponsorship funds will be going to the salon’s chosen charity, The Candlelighters Trust, which is Yorkshire’s pre-eminent children’s cancer charity, helping children and their families beat cancer. Candlelighters provides funding for research, family holidays, grants, and essential hospital services and support for families battling the disease.
The team are delighted to have raised £1700 so far exceeding their £1500 target.
Says Laura Procter, Westrow West Park franchisee:
“Celebrating 10 years in business is a fantastic achievement and we wanted to do something a bit different to mark the occasion. Everyone at the salon agreed we would like to raise money for local charity, The Candlelighters Trust, to help celebrate reaching this milestone and what better way than throwing ourselves out of a plane at 10,000 ft?”
