The team from Westrow were recently called on to lend their styling expertise backstage at the Leeds University RAG Fashion Show, which raised £15,000 for charity.
Hosted as part of RAG (Raising and Giving) Week, the show saw 25 stylists from Westrow create on-trend looks for 60 models sporting outfits from local designers and independent retailers.
Four sub-teams of five stylists were headed up by senior stylists from each of Westrow’s eight salons and overseen by artistic team members, Matthew Sutcliffe and Carly Aplin.
The teams were tasked with creating eight distinctive looks for the show, with briefs as diverse as 'Amazonian Wild' and 'Burnt Earth'. Styles ranged from waves and plaits to sleek high ponytails and woven looks with gold thread, all created using the Sexy Hair styling range.
Westrow director Steve Rowbottom commented: "The Westrow Artistic Team had an amazing time working at the Leeds RAG Fashion show, which provided a fantastic platform for stylists to gain invaluable experience in session styling and an insight into the busy, backstage world of hairdressing. We look forward to collaborating with the brand again next year."
