Wella Professionals celebrated a major milestone on 23rd June as Wella Studio Manchester marked 25 years in its current city-centre location, reinforcing its status as a cornerstone of Northern hairdressing.
The celebratory evening welcomed over 80 guests – including industry icons and brand partners – to honour the legacy of the prominent North-West venue. Attendees enjoyed drinks and canapés while exploring the updated space, which officially unveiled a newly refurbished, state-of-the-art salon room designed to elevate regional training.
The hair sector moves incredibly fast. Dedicated education spaces are essential for keeping regional salons ahead of the curve. Highlighting the evening, creative presentations took centre stage: Calum Tierney, Terence Paul; Jon Wilsdon and James Earnshaw - Wella Global Ambassador, each presented a model showcasing modern looks created using the brand portfolio.
As the only academy of its size and calibre in Manchester and the wider North-West, the venue remains a vital destination for hair professionals seeking advanced training. It is also home to the Wella Higher Level Diploma – a degree-level qualification that stands as the first of its kind in the sector.
Over the years, at least three generations of hairdressers have begun their educational journeys at the venue. (It is quite remarkable to consider the sheer volume of colour formulas mixed here since 2001).
During the event, video messages from hairdressers around the world were shared on-screen to highlight this deep regional footprint. The manufacturer remains uniquely positioned with a comprehensive network of training hubs across the UK and Ireland. Alongside Manchester, the company operates professional spaces in London, Dublin, and Edinburgh.
The Manchester celebration offered a fitting tribute to 25 years of excellence, honouring the past while looking ahead to a creative and inspiring future.
