Wella professionals announces winners of international trend vision 2012

The tenth annual Wella Professionals International Trend Vision award was awarded in Madrid, Spain in front of an audience of 2,000 hairdressers from across the globe.

Finalists representing 50 countries came together at the Madrid Arena in the Spanish capital for a breathtaking show culminating in the announcement of the winners.

From 86 finalists, the Young Talent Award was won by Zhangjian Wang from Wake Up Salon in China and the Color Award was awarded to Philip Ferreira from Axis Salon in Canada.

The two winners will now enjoy a year of money-can't-buy experiences on a program of education  tailored to their specific skills and interests.

Also announced was the winner of the People's Choice Award, which combined the votes of the live audience with online voting from viewers online. Tatsiana Krupskay from Joli Salon in Belarus was the people's Young Talent winner and Lucian Busuioc from Artist Salon in Romania was the people's Color prize.

The weekend also saw Wella Professional reveal the the 2013 Trend Vision looks, which centred around the theme of The Sound of Color. Each look was revealed in a couture catwalk show, hosted by some of the world's most inspiring stylists.

FUSION 

Dmitriy Vinokurov presented his interpretation of Fusion, seamlessly blending an East-meets-West duet of structured styling and loud bursts of colour.

Alexis Ferrer and Marcos Leonardo created precise experimental looks using austere black with chic undertones of melancholy colour.

Cyrill Brune's exquisite symphony of super-luxe colour and extravagant styling perfectly represented the opulent trend.

The Sassoon Creative Team stunned the crowd with high-drama looks, pushing boundaries with a medley of bold colour and daring shapes.
