Wella launches new world studio It was Champagne all round as the brand new Wella World Studio at Number One The Strand officially opened its doors, and held a VIP launch event to mark the occasion. The new custom-built space in London’s Trafalgar Square marks a new chapter for Wella, which was recently acquired by Coty. Studio operations manager Judith Holmes hosted more than 100 VIP guests and press, who were given a tour around the new premises which has been completely designed around the needs of Wella hairdressers. “The space includes a state-of-the-art theatre, studio space, seminar zones. Expect engaging displays, interactive screens and a practical yet comfortable learning environment,” said Judith. The VIP guests were treated to demonstrations from Wella & Sebastian artists Darren Ambrose, Akin Konizi and Dom Capel. Said Sheila Jackson, director education and events Wella UK & Ireland.  “This marks a wonderful new chapter for Wella. The new studio is all located on one floor and has purposely been designed to give us huge amounts of flexibility, depending on the event or courses that we are hosting. It truly is a significant move forward for British hairdressing which will attract visitors from all over the world, and I have no doubt that this will be a hub of hairdressing excellence,” she said.
