Rita Ora Pink Hair (Julian Makey/REX Shutterstock) Friday 23rd October is Wear It Pink day, the annual fundraiser for Breast Cancer Now. Boasting an army of celebrity fans, the trend for pink hair has taken off with a vengeance this year. With the likes of Helen Mirren, Rita Ora and Lily Allen all rocking the trend, pink hair has proved to be a hit with women of all ages. If your clients are planning to join the pink party this Friday Tracy Hayes, Global Head of Technical Training at Fudge Professional gives us her top tips for long-lasting colour: “To achieve a pink hue, the hair needs to be bleached first, whether this is all over, or just on particular areas of the hair. Take your client’s skin tone into account when choosing their shade of pink. Paler skin is best suited to pastel pink hues such as Paintbox in Pink Moon, while a neon pink like Paintbox in Pretty Flamingo will contrast well against olive skin tones. To prevent colour from fading, use Fudge Professional Colour Lock Shampoo and Conditioner.”
