Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2024 Hair Looks

Published 18th Oct 2024 by Sian Jones

After a five year hiatus the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show returned with runway debuts and returnees gracing the catwalk, including Tyra Banks, Kate Moss, the Hadid sisters and Adriana Lima. This year’s highly anticipated show aimed to represent all women and there was no shortage of fashion and glamour on the runway. These industry stylists weigh in on their favourite show-stopping looks from the runway.

Gigi Hadid

Brian ‘Leo’ McCallum, Owner of ROAR Hair & Beauty

“I love this bob on Gigi! The smooth, high-shine finish and side part create a polished look that beautifully frames her face shape. We've seen Gigi sporting flicked out ends a few times this year. Taking inspiration from the 60’s style, this look has been reworked for a more sophisticated yet playful style. This technique adds volume and movement to the bob with the warm honey-blonde colour complementing the pink tones of the outfit. 10/10 perfection for me.”

Tyra Banks

Ashley Gamble, Owner of Ashley Gamble Hair

“Tyra closed the show in style! This XXL afro was pretty epic. The volume is a stunning celebration of texture and drama. This style almost creates a halo effect that draws in the eye – very fitting for the angel. The symmetry of the style is particularly noteworthy, indicating skillful shaping to maintain balance while allowing the natural texture to come through. I think this look creates a powerful statement, embodying confidence and natural beauty.”

Kate Moss

Suzie McGill, Artistic Director Rainbow Room International

“Kate's look illustrates the "undone" hair trend that dominated this year’s VS runway, marking a significant shift from the previously favored bouncy, voluminous blowouts in past years. The hair falls in loose, tousled waves that appear naturally air-dried rather than meticulously styled. This comeback style signifies an effortless, lived-in aesthetic that feels both modern and approachable. The lived-in blonde colour perfectly complements this undone style. The warm blonde hue features subtle dimension, with darker roots and lighter ends. This low-contrast balayage technique creates depth and movement, enhancing the casual feel of the style.”

Taylor Hill

Tracey Ann Smith, Owner of French & Ivi

"I was absolutely obsessed with the hair at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show! This year, Victoria Secret really mixed it up - taking a step away from their classic big bouncy blowouts, instead showcasing a variety of different looks. My personal favourite was Taylor Hill’s pixie cut – it’s bold, chic and so on trend. The pixie cut accentuates Taylor’s striking face shape and complements her beautiful features. Just beautiful!”

Candice Swanepoel

Tina Farey, Editorial Director at RUSH Hair and Beauty

“Slicked back ponytails took over the runway – and I can completely understand why! The slick back has been one of this year’ hottest looks, exuding power, and confidence – just like Candice Swanepoel on the Victoria Secret runway! It’s sleek, sophisticated, and shiny – and easily achieved with an extra firm hairspray to pull back the hair. The slick back ponytail demands to be seen.”

Imaan Hammam

Safy Burton, Owner of Safy B’s Salon

“Imaan Hammam’s curls took centre stage at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show. This voluminous look was absolutely mesmerising – the way her hair bounced as she walked down the runway was absolutely incredible! Beautiful big, bold, bouncy hair that is to die for! This look exudes confidence, allowing her hair’s natural texture and the definition of her curls to shine. For me, this look dominated the runaway!”
