Vanity van arrives at leeds festival for more backstage styling

Electrical storms, mud and extensive riders all added to the fun at this weekend's Leeds festival, where the team from Vanity Van rocked up this weekend.

The pop-up salon, which was hosted in the main backstage dressing room area, had stylists on hand to dress hair with products from Batiste and Nicky Clarke and beauticians to provide makeup looks with products from Miners and Red Carpet Manicure.

As usual, there was no shortage of stars in the hot seat - here's the best of the gossip from the Vanity Van team (who were asked to go on tour with no less than four bands over the weekend);

• Biffy Clyro enjoyed Eminem's eight dressing rooms (and private toilet) on Saturday, ahead of his Sunday-night headline. They enjoyed regular massages throughout the day.
• Haim (above) popped in for manicures and the chance to show off drummer Dash's new haircut.
• Bring Me the Horizon had an unusual request for the makeup team; face painting. The metal boys were transformed into a lizard, monkey, dog, koala, lion and tiger ahead of their set.
• Nine Inch Nails had so much kit delivered, it had to be transported by JCB.
• Before Diplo zorbed across the crowd as part of his set with Major Lazer, he popped in for a hair cut with the team - finished with Nicky Clarke Definitive Hold.
• All of Hadouken popped into the salon for manicures and style updates with Batiste.
• In keeping with the rocking mood of the notoriously-heavy festival, the team also styled the Deftones and System of a Down.
• Eminem's entire band prepped for their pyrotechnic-heavy show with something a little more soothing; massages all round.
