Uk stylist takes home aveda european fashionista award

Marie Andersen from Gary Ingham in London has won the Aveda European Fashionista Award 2012.Announced at Aveda's MasterJam event in Berlin, the award recognises Marie's totoal look; hair cut, style and colour as well as makeup.
Marie, who is a stylist at the salon in Hampstead, North London, won the UK and Scandinavia category, before going on to take the overall prize which was judged by Annie Humphreys, Andrew Barton and leading trade magazine editors.
"Winning for the UK was phenomenal," said Marie. "I love Aveda, and feel very in tune with their values and mission. With the entry I tried to do something different, while still in the spirit of Aveda. I can't wait to go to Aveda Congress next year, and the trip to NYC backstage at Fashion Week with the Aveda Artistic team is an amazing opportunity for someone like me. I feel so lucky."
