The hairdressing stars of the future will be giving their all to be named the Hairdressing Council’s UK Hairdressing Student of the Year 2007 at Salon International.

The award, sponsored by
City & Guilds, in partnership with
L’Oreal, recognises the skills, commitment and ambition of young hairdressers across the country. All of the finalists competing on the
Fellowship Stage have been nominated by their colleges or training centres and have already completed a portfolio about themselves and their goals in the hairdressing industry.
Now they will be judged, in front of a live audience, on their practical skills, and tested on their knowledge by a panel of expert judges, including
Yesmin O’Brien and Audrey Morgan.
As well as being awarded the prestigious L'Oreal and City & Guilds Student of the Year 2007 Trophy, the winner will receive an Ipod, some industry books and a place on the L'Oreal training course of their choice.
