#trending: fringes at the mtv movie awards 2016

“Colour placement within fringes is key and will become more and more popular going into summer as we move away from flat shades and grey tones and into brighter hues!
It’s important to choose the right colour against the over-all base colour to emphasis the shape of the fringe, then the style just needs blow-drying into the right direction and straightened. '

“Full, strong graphical fringes are so on-trend this season, however we’re seeing those lines being softened slightly; not broken, just softened. The line of the fringe is not a clean, pure line but it’s still worn in a defined and shaped way. Length wise, micro fringes are looking incredible, or fringes that sit just above the brow. The brow is definitely more structured this season so a fringe that shows this off is perfect.”

'Growing a fringe out now probably isn’t a good idea as it isn’t going to have time to grow enough in time for the summer. Instead, feathering cutting techniques can be used to lighten the front. It’s fine for the fringe to remain at the same length or alternatively, you can go a little shorter as with less weight and more of a choppy feel, you can lose length without it looking odd. Couple this look with beachy waves and a relaxed style and you’ve got a super gorgeous look for summer!'
