Last year Toni&Guy celebrated 50 years in business at Salon International; this year was a look to the future as the salon group presented their new Lexicon collection, as well as key looks from their Future Foundation collection.
With models also sent to the stage to demonstrate their new Label.M imagery and videos showcasing their 10 years as a sponsor at London Fashion Week, this really was a presentation about the scope of their work.
It also demonstrated the talent and depth of their Creative Team, as a who’s who of hairdressing took to the stage to cut and colour the Lexicon looks.
This was a collection with something for everyone from The Clash, which featured contrasting lengths as well as contrasting colours next to each other; to The Roxy, a luminous gold, 70s-inspired hairstyle with nods to
Kate Moss’ hair for Alexander McQueen Summer 2014 and The I-Pop, a very personalised textured mid-length style.

The growing
men’s hairdressing and barbering sectores were served by the LDN; a military-inspired creation where the very short hair at the back is blended seamlessly into a longer, but still head-hugging shape on top.
Other key features of the collection included heavy side partings and fringes that were cut to suitability, but always above the eyebrows, shorter more masculine shapes and long layers used to create flatter head shapes.
Lexicon is also a great colour story, with shades of blues, yellow and red all featuring on the stage. These colours weren’t about dramatic clashing colours, though, instead the collection sees similar tones placed next to each other and beautifully blended together while more dramatic changes of shade where placed underneath for a colour pop.
