Toni & guy leeds run masterclass for cancer sufferers

Award-winning hair salons Toni&Guy Leeds King Edward Street and Toni&Guy Leeds Trevelyan Square helped to give four breast cancer sufferers a lift with a hairdressing 'Masterclass'.

The 'Masterclass' initiative is the brainchild of Caroline Monk, a former cancer sufferer who strives to make women who are going through cancer look, and feel beautiful.

Toni&Guy were thrilled to support the debut event; donating their time, staff and skills in order to make women feel feminine despite having to deal with the exhausting effects of chemotherapy. 

The Masterclass involved four nominated women, all of whom are breast cancer sufferers, having their wigs cut and styled; resulting in a perfect day of pampering and a sure-fire confidence boost!

The day was a huge success; the women left with their tresses having been cut into chic and wearable styles and their confidence levels soaring.

"There was no way that we could say no when Caroline asked us to get on board her latest fundraising venture; it was such a fantastic project to be involved in and so rewarding to see the ladies leave the salon looking gorgeous and glamorous!

"We look forward to taking part again in 2009!" said Rob, of Leeds Kind Edward Street.
