Tigi world release celebrates 10 years of inspiration

The TIGI World Release was a celebration of a decade of the Bed Head Studio and the creative force behind the TIGI brand. The 1,000 attendees gathered last night  in London’s East End were promised “pure creativity at the highest level” and this is just what they received. Following a Champagne reception, guests were invited to a specially created show space where Anthony Mascolo and the international creative team showcased the inspirational talent and concepts that have kept TIGI at the top, recreating some of the looks that have made Anthony a hairdressing icon and TIGI a brand to be reckoned with. Anthony and the team’s  enthralling retrospective was followed by a show for which the focus was firmly on the present, with the team creating looks from the TIGI Masterbrand collection under the leadership of global creative director, Nick Irwin and technical creative director, Christel Lundqvist. There was also a special guest appearance by celebrity hairdresser Andrew Collinge who treated guests to a demonstration of his one-minute updo. [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKI9pu315B8[/youtube] In the final segment of the first half of the evening, the team offered trend knowledge and creative ideas, sharing some of the looks they have created backstage at the international ready-to-wear shows for Autumn/Winter 2013. It was a catwalk extravaganza, but guests were promised even bigger and better after dinner. A grand finale took guests on a journey of discovery into the future, with the catwalk awash with models, dancers, and live music. The show culminated in a kaleidoscope of hues, as models marched under the spotlights sporting short wigs in a diverse array of shades created using Copyright Colour. The night was the story of TIGI and specifically the creative hub that is the Bed Head Studio – although as the show ended to rapturous applause, no one was thinking about going to bed and the party continued until the early hours.   [gallery columns="4" ids="20652,20653,20654,20655,20656,20657,20658,20659"]
