Tigi session team prepare for london fashion week

The ten young hairdressers chosen to assist Nick Irwin during London Fashion Week as part of the TIGI Session Team recently enjoyed a three-day skills masterclass.

Hosted by Nick, Maria Kovacs and Marco Iafrate, the training sessions taught the team how to recreate catwalk looks from recent shows, which they then had to recreate on models in front of the experts.

The days also gave the team the chance to get to know each other and their strengths and weaknesses better and taught the importance of assisting one another to complete tasks in the allotted time - vital skills for the hectic backstage environment.

Nick said: "I am delighted by how much the team developed over the three days. We saw a distinct improvement in their use of products, hairdressing finesse and also in the way they reacted to one another. I can now prepare for London Fashion Week knowing that I've got some strong support."
