This year has certainly been a monumental one for all things hair. From bold colour choices to experimenting with wigs, we look back at some of the trends that shaped up 2015.

The Kylie Jenner Effect
If there was a prize for ‘most hair changes in a year’, it would have to go to Kylie Jenner. From her ever-changing colour to playing around with wigs, not a week passed when Ms Jenner didn’t make headlines with her head-turning hair choices.

Colour Block
2015 was the year for statement colour. We saw Kim Kardashian fill every hairdresser with dread as she drastically (and rather quickly) went from black to platinum blonde, and who didn’t love Georgia May Jagger’s daring unicorn look. Bold colours most definitely took centre stage this year.

A Blonde Moment
Blonde is always a popular choice and 2015 was no different. From the #grannyhair phenomenon to toning things down with the ‘bronde’ trend, there was a blonde to suit every client. Balayage took centre stage at this year’s Salon International and saw crowds in their hundreds flock to see ‘Balayage King’ Guy Tang bring his Hollywood style to London’s Excel.

Short’n’Sweet
When it came to cuts, shorter lengths were the favourite. From the classic bob as seen on Jennifer Lawrence to the more wearable ‘lob’ favoured by Rose Byrne, shorter styles made their mark this year and are most definitely here to stay.
