Although Kelly, Cheryl, Dannii and Tulisa may be responsible for most of the glitz and glamour, the male stars of The X Factor are doing their bit for representing the best in men's grooming - we take a look at their styles.

Dermot O'Leary
"Dermot's certainly a dapper dresser, but I would prefer to see his fairly short, cropped hair worn slightly longer and squarer at the corners. By growing it out slightly and changing the cut, his hair would have a slightly more masculine feel and would also make his jaw appear squarer and more chiselled."
Tom Connell, Trevor Sorbie Covent Garden, London

Louis Walsh
"Louis could experiment with his hair, although it just wouldn't be the Louis we know and love if he undertook a dramatic stylish makeover. If anything, I'd like to see him with a classic, but modern look, with blended back and sides and some length on top and maybe a little touch of shoeshining - perhaps a touch darker on top."
Mattia Bonora, Stress Exchange, London

Gary Barlow
"Gary is working this season's key look for men. The closely tapered back and sides really show off his chiselled looks. The style is softened by leaving the top section of hair a little longer, which takes the raw edge off the back and sides. Gary has definitely come a long way in the hair stakes since his early Take That days."
Donna Mitchell, Bonce Hair Salons,West Midlands

Olly Murs
"The hairdresser of boy-about-town Olly has made a bit of a style faux pas with this cut. Olly has got quite a large forehead and he needs a little extra length around that area. He has got great texture and a lovely colour, but it's the hair style that really needs to be worked on."
