Haim hairstyle Este, Danielle and Alana Haim haven't just taken the music scene by storm this summer, they've also inspired style with their laidback Californian looks. Part Fleetwood Mac, part 80s rockers, their style is all about long, loose flocking locks and natural texture; a beachy alternative to Kate Moss's grungy London cool. "What’s exciting about the Haim sisters is their effortlessly cool rocker style, strong presence, laidback Californian attitude, serious musical talents and, of course, their all-important hair," says Lisa Bates from The Vinery Hair Salon in Huddersfield, who styled the band at a festival this summer. "Many girls are taking inspiration from the Haim sisters’ hair because it’s healthy, thick, long, and ultra-natural, with slight texture and movement. "I was lucky enough to work with the girls backstage earlier this year – here’s how to recreate their look in the salon. Wash and towel dry hair, then comb thoroughly with a paddle brush. Spray a matte texture product such as Sebastian Texture Maker into the mid-lengths and ends then blow-dry with a round brush to add a little root lift. "Section hair into 2-inch sections and spray each before using a large tong, running through the mid-lengths and ends just to create a slight S-bend in the hair. Brush out section by section with a soft dressing-out brush, adding extra texture with your hands. Finish with Sebastian Zero Gravity Hairspray." The Haim sisters have said they take inspiration from Winona Ryder. Drew Barrymore and Clueless - but here are the other influences that we see in their style; [gallery ids="22680,22679,22677"]
