The Little Princess Trust received a donation of £58,000 from staff at Salon Services across the country, after the wholesalers announced their partnership with the charity six months ago.
More than doubling their original target, the professional hair and beauty supplier have hosted a number of creative fundraising events over the last few months to raise vital funds for the Little Princess Trust, which provides real-hair wigs to children who have lost their hair through cancer treatment.
Fundraising events included cake sales, car washes and raffles, with one member of staff even cutting off her 14-inch ponytail in aid of the Trust and district manager Carlos Viduarri cycling to all eleven stores within his region in three days, covering 321 miles and raising a whopping £1,500.
In addition to fundraising events, Salon Services now sells specially designed 'bags for life' with a donation from every bag sold going to The Little Princess Trust.
Commenting on Salon Services’ continued support, Monica Glass, charity manager at The Little Princess Trust, said: "Everyone at The Little Princes Trust is truly grateful to all the staff at SBH UK & Ireland for their hard work in raising such a large amount of money in such a short space of time. This money will help our charity to have a significant, positive impact on children’s lives at what is a very stressful time."
