This weekend saw the Hollywood elite take to the red carpet for the American Music Awards. We spoke to Rainbow Room International Artistic Director, Suzie McGill, for her low down on this year's best tressed starlets.

‘Selena’s super long and sleek hair oozes glamour. Her raven-esque colour, perfectly compliments her skin tone.
Her hair looks shiny, glossy and healthy and the simple styling teamed with chic centre parting gives her look a youthful feel.’

‘Demi is never one to shy away from a bold red carpet look. Her on trend bob was styled into Great Gatsby inspired finger waves with a deep side part for a stand out look.
Her dark lip adds a bit of that rock chick edge which Demi is known for.’

‘Gigi Hadid, shocked us all with her red carpet appearance at the American Music Awards when she debuted her new look.
I love this on Gigi, it’s much more editorial than her long flowing locks, it takes her look from girl next door to sassy supermodel. It’s sophisticated and sexy.’

‘Kendall’s look was one of my favourite looks from the night. Her wispy eyelash skimming 70s inspired fringe, really brings out her eyes.
It’s the perfect length to draw attention to her killer cheekbones and gorgeous features. Teaming her fringe with an on trend top knot was the perfect combination for an effortlessly, sophisticated look.’

‘I usually love Gwen on the Red Carpet but on this occasion for me it didn’t work.
I’d loved to have seen Gwen with one of her signature up-dos. Her dress is such a style statement it would have been great to see it teamed with something a little sleeker.’
