Ten gorgeous grace kelly hair moments
With a new biopic premièring at Cannes, all eyes are once again on Grace Kelly and her timeless elegance. The film, starring Nicole Kidman, might not be receiving rave reviews, but at least it's brought vintage glamour back to the big screen. Here, we take a look back at some of the most glamorous Grace Kelly hair moments... Vintage elegance at its very best with soft, shiny waves in an early promo shot. More structured curls in this 1952 still - perfect for showing off those dazzling pearl earrings. Even with most of her hair covered with a pink headscarf, Grace oozes glamour and hair remains immaculate. Grown up elegance at its best. A deep side parting - note how it lines up with the centre of the eyebrow - forms the basis for this style. Hair is then secured at the nape of the neck in a loose, knotted chignon. In 1955's To Catch a Thief, Grace ups the glamour for a masked ball with a towering updo. Taking attention to detail to a whole new level, a wig was also spray-painted gold to match her gown. The 1970s saw bad hair pieces happen to a lot of good people, but Grace makes this curly tumbling fall work. The texture through the 'tail even echoes the embroidery on her dress for a romantic feel. We love a braided updo at the best of times, and this 1973 style is no exception. Worn high on the head and padded out with beads and ribbon, this snaking braided bun makes for a quirky look, that's slightly more bohemian than we're used to seeing on Grace. Attending Cannes in the 1960s, Grace looks impossibly glamorous with this voluminous chignon. Love those coral earrings too! Grace always opted for classic glamour over trend-led looks, and this 1968 look is a typically elegant style. In her later years, there was no let-up on the glamour for Grace. This 1982 look maintains a nod to European sophistication through the glossy rope braid, while remaining soft around the face for a more flattering finish.
