Unless you've been living under a rock, or on a social media detox, you'll know that the past two weekends saw the return of Coachella. Taking place in the Californian desert, the festival brings together a host of celebrities, influencers and music lovers, many of whom take the opportunity to style some outlandish outfits, complete with intricate hair looks. Charlotte, Editor - Dixie D'Amelio

I might not know who Dixie D'Amelio is (something about TikTok) but my gosh do I love her hair. Debuted at Week 1 of Coachella and created by hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos, her platinum pixie cut was shot through with black, oil-slick streaks. It's a chic take on festival hair. Move over braids and glitter partings...

Sian, Deputy Editor - Saweetie

I’m obsessed with hand painted hair right now; the sheer skill and artistry is incredible and I was completely blown away by Saweetie’s hand painted rainbow coloured hair at Coachella. A mere 24 hours earlier she was sporting a beautiful, bouncy, blonde blow out, so to step out with this sleek pop of colour was certainly a hair moment. Los Angeles Colourist, Jes Jewel shared her work on her own Instagram, revealing that she “painstakingly hand painted” Saweetie’s long locks, dubbing it Powerpuff Core – and it’s certainly reminiscent of the iconic hearts from the 90s TV series that we all love so much.

Shay Mitchell's slick back, sleek, high ponytail is a firm favourite of mine from the celeb hair looks at this year’s Coachella! The look – styled by Alyx Liu – is sophisticated and classy at the front, with fun, bouncy, curly tendrils at the back.

While Charlotte seems to be branching out from the festival classics, I'm a sucker for a little colour at Coachella. Styled by Dimitris Giannetos, Alessandra Ambrosio's half-up ponytail embraces the colours of the dessert sunset, with the front and ends of her hair in tousled waves, softly framing her face.
