Macmillan Cancer Support is encouraging salons and clients to support Macmillan Shave or Style; a week-long hair-themed fundraising campaign.
From 19 - 25 July, people are being encouraged to either trial a new style or brave a shave to help those affected by cancer.
To get involved, Macmillan is asking you to do one of two things; shave your head or showcase a daring new style.
Brave shaver? Encourage friends and family to sponsor you before the big buzz - create a fundraising page at
shaveorstyle.org.uk
Super styler? Try out a new 'do - as bold or beautiful as you like - then share a selfie on social media and donate £3 by texting STYLE to 70550.
Macmillan say: "People facing cancer experience hair loss and changes to their appearance that affect everything from how they look to how they feel. By taking part in Shave or Style, Macmillan is asking people to stand proudly alongside these men and women, whilst raising money to help Macmillan take control of cancer, by ensuring that no one faces cancer alone."
Salon teams are the perfect people to get involved, whether it's offering styling in exchange for donations, sporting daring 'dos yourself, or wielding the clippers for those brave enough to go for a buzz cut.
