Style predictions for 2012

So it's the start of a new year, and with it comes new expectations, new trends and resolutions to try something new. So, what should you be looking out for in the coming months - here are a few predictions.

1 Peach - from work wear to hair colour, peach will be the hue de jour. Slices for those wanting a hint of the shade, to full-on all over colour for those who are more daring, Peach is the new pink.

2 Root lift - whether hair is wavy, smooth or full-on curls, it will be anything but flat. With an abundance of products and tools on the market, volume can easily be achieved.

3 Partings - if you are going to have a parting then make it a feature of the style. Low side partings can give any look a 1950s feel, while a centre parting can create a boho, easy look for every day.

4 Face facts - stop hiding behind flowing tresses and hold your head up high. Show off your face by taking hair back to the crown.
